This was the first luxury model home for Sun West. The home was built in 8 months and that included all of the interior design drawings, selection, and purchasing. The goal was to make the home contemporary but still feel warm and natural because of its close connection to the desert landscape and water features throughout the home.

The balance of wood, stone, and water is what makes this model home so unique and beautiful. As the lead designer on the project I was the go to person for the team and attended the weekly subcontractor meetings. I was in charge of the design selections and design features throughout the home. I worked with the junior designer to complete the selection of FF&E items in a short amount of time, due to the fast pace construction of the project. This was an enormous challenge and I am happy to say it was completed on time with all of the furniture and accessories installed. The company received the 2017 Silver Nugget award for “Home of the Year” for the Waters Edge model home.
